What's new in Silah Desk.
Everything below is in the product today, dated by the day it shipped.
- Improved
Silah is now Silah Desk
The product's full name is now Silah Desk, to match silahdesk.com. Your workspace, your sign-in and your channels stay as they are.
- The site, the panels, emails and the widget say Silah Desk
- The logo reads silah desk; the mark is unchanged
- Silah AI and Silah Connect keep their names
- silah.chat no longer answers: a widget snippet or webhook that still names it must be changed to silahdesk.com
- Improved
Silah moves to silahdesk.com
Silah's address is now silahdesk.com. The product, your workspace and your sign-in are the same; only the address changed.
- silah.chat pages redirect to the same page on silahdesk.com
- Widget snippets that load silah.chat/widget.js keep working, and new snippets use silahdesk.com
- Our email addresses are now @silahdesk.com
- Improved
A brand page, and the group we belong to
silah.chat now says plainly that Silah is a Mashriqain Group company, and the Bond mark has a page of its own with everything you need to show it properly.
- The /brand page: the mark, how it is built, colours and type
- SVG and PNG downloads of the mark and the wordmark
- Mashriqain Group in the top strip and the footer, never under the logo
- New
The person who reported a bug hears back
When your team moves a bug report on, the person who sent it is told, in their own language, without anybody writing to them by hand.
- A message at each stage: received, confirmed, being fixed, fixed and released
- Change a report's status from the report page itself
- Each update is written once, even when two people act at the same moment
- Improved
Reports that show GitHub, and contacts that explain themselves
A report now shows its GitHub issue and pull request as GitHub has them, and a contact tells you more about who it is.
- Issue and pull request state on the report, read from GitHub
- A signed-in person's role and access, and which install vouched for them
- Messenger senders Meta gives no name for say why, and Silah keeps asking
- The AI reads plain .txt and .md pages on sites built with JavaScript
- Improved
The widget tells your page when chat cannot be used
A site that opens chat from its own button can now ask the widget whether chat is ready, and send the visitor to the hosted chat page when it is not, instead of opening an empty panel.
- Silah('status'): ready, loading, unavailable or off
- Silah('unavailableReason'): a site not on the allowed list, a suspended workspace, or no connection
- New
Bug reports from your products, and an AI that learns your site
Your own apps can send bug reports into Silah, where Claude checks them before your team does. And the AI agent now learns your website by itself and answers in the language the customer wrote in.
- Bug reports with screenshots, logs and the reporter, from any product you connect
- Each report checked with Claude, with links to the GitHub issue and pull request
- An MCP server with OAuth, so Claude can read and work your reports
- The AI reads your site from its sitemap or llms.txt and refreshes it every week
- Replies in the language the customer wrote in, Bengali and Banglish included
- Voice notes are transcribed and answered in text
- New
Facebook and Instagram comments
Comments on your Facebook Page and Instagram posts arrive in the inbox beside your messages, and your reply goes back where the comment was.
- Comments as conversations, with the post they came from
- Names and photos of the people writing, from Meta
- Data deletion requests from Meta handled automatically
- New
Silah Connect, Mashriqain ID and a chain of AI providers
Connect your own site so Silah knows which customer it is talking to, sign in with Mashriqain ID, and give the AI agent backups so it never goes quiet.
- Silah Connect: connected sites, a signed site API, tickets in the inbox and verified visitors
- Sign in with Mashriqain ID to the console, as a teammate, or as a visitor in the widget
- An AI provider chain: Silah, Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini and more, each a backup for the one before
- Bring your own API keys and pick the model

- One person listed once, however many channels they write from
- New

- Media storage on your own R2, S3 or SFTP
- A built-in mail server: send from your domain, with tracking, scheduling and stats
